This project is for my special topics class. I’m photographing abandoned buildings and experimenting with color to create a unique raw atmosphere. I like working in black and white usually when dealing with these kind of subjects but I was inspired by a band called Raspberry Bulbs to bring color into the primitive side art. These are roughs.

This is a project I’m doing for a photo essay class. I’m using double exposures of different surface, close up to create a dense, raw and captivating surface.

I took these at Shaw Airforce base during their annual air show, and also at the Carolina Aviation Museum in Charlotte NC. I wanted to do detailed shots focusing on the power of these machines, both the weapons and the engines. War planes have always fascinated me and I enjoy reading about, watching them and flying them in simulations/games. I hope to shoot planes more often but I’m not in the military so don’t always have an opportunity.
